
Elsie is a project engineer working with Arup’s Climate and Sustainability consulting team based in Dublin. Elsie graduated from University College Cork in 2019 with a BE (Hons) in Process and Chemical Engineering and is currently completing an MSc in Environmental Sustainability with University College Dublin. Elsie has worked on a range of projects in the environmental and sustainability sector mainly in the areas of climate impact assessment, climate and sustainability strategy, whole-life carbon, decarbonisation, environmental and sustainability assessment, air quality, emissions modelling, environmental impact assessment, strategic environmental assessment, policy, and technical due diligence.
Through this multi-disciplinary background Elsie has developed a comprehensive technical understanding for climate, sustainability, and environmental issues. Elsie is passionate about community engagement and international development, with a particular interest in Just Transition, Climate Justice, and Climate Resilience for vulnerable communities. Elsie is the Arup Ireland Community Engagement representative and manages the EU strategic partnership between Arup and EWB. Through these roles Elsie assists in the initializing and co-ordination of community engagement projects in Ireland and abroad, facilitating collaboration with a number of external organizations, charitable groups and NGOs
